Trifecta Energy CLG is a non-profit organisation established in 2025 by Lesley O’Connor, global renewable energy practitioner, investor, and daughter of the late Eddie O’Connor.

Our mission is to reshape how the world thinks about the energy transformation and to unlock its abundant social, environmental, and economic benefits for communities everywhere.

Trifecta Energy advances this mission through its two divisions: Trifecta Ireland and SupergridEurope. Together, they drive a systems-thinking approach that unites stakeholders across policy, industry, and civil society to create a clean, secure, and affordable energy future for all.

Trifecta Ireland is an independent, non-profit initiative working to accelerate Ireland’s transition to a clean, secure, and affordable energy future. Trifecta Ireland is the sister organisation to Brussels-based SupergridEurope, both part of Trifecta Energy.

We provide bold, evidence-informed leadership to address systemic failures in the energy sector. Grounded in global systems change theory, Trifecta identifies what enables successful large-scale transformations and applies these principles to Ireland’s unique energy context. 

Our niche is connecting global insight with local action. We bring together stakeholders across government, industry, science, and civil society to co-design and drive integrated, system-wide solutions. By fostering collaboration and aligning incentives, we aim to unlock opportunities and remove barriers to Ireland’s energy transformation.
